Hall of Honor
As one of the most decorated Wheaton swimmer in history, Rich Taylor earned NCAA All-America status and held Illinois State College records in six freestyle events and the 400-yard individual medley during his four seasons from 1977-81. Taylor won All-America status in each of his four seasons, including individual national championships in the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle. Taylor won eight CCIW championships during his career and once held several CCIW records.
Taylor notes of lessons he learned from his time in the pool for Wheaton, “When I think that I have given everything I have, I can probably give a little more. Crash the boards, go all out after what you are trying to accomplish and you will probably reach your goal.”
