Jack Hall was a fine pitcher for Crusader baseball under the direction of Coach Ed Coray during the 1920s. In the 1927 season, Hall pitched every single Wheaton game. His best outing was an 8-2 victory over Elmhurst, allowing just three hits while striking out 17. In between, Jack helped his own cause by stealing home plate. In his final two seasons, Hall posted winning records and batted over .300 while alternating at third base.
