Kim Rasmussen Anderson completed a strong career in women’s tennis in 1987 with multiple conference championships. Kim was a CCIW champion at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles in 1986, the first year of the CCIW Women’s Tennis Championships. She also won a conference No. 1 doubles title in 1985. Rasmussen twice competed in the national tournament as a doubles participant and was also a singles participant on one occasion.
Kim really connected with coach Jane Nelson. “I appreciated Jane’s skills on the court and her coaching strategies, but more than that, I appreciated how she built me as a person and challenged our team to represent Christ on and off the court,” Anderson said. “She led by example and I’m so grateful that I had a chance to play for her. I hold her in high regard.”
