Wheaton College Athletics

FAQ/Quick Facts

Wheaton Athletics

FAQ and Quick Facts

FAQ's

1. Does Wheaton give athletic scholarships?
Answer: NO. Because Wheaton is a member of the NCAA Division III, it is not allowed to use athletic criteria in any determination of financial aid or scholarships. However, academic scholarships are available as well as work/study programs for those students who qualify. A large percentage of Wheaton students do qualify for some financial aid. However, their ability as athletes is of no consideration in the awarding of this aid. An official application for financial aid can be made after the Wheaton College admission process is complete.

2. What areas of study does Wheaton College offer?
Answer: The college and conservatory offer 40 major areas of study (Ancient Lanuages, Anthropology, Applied Health Science, Archaeology, Art, Biblical/Theological Studies, Biology, Business/Economics, Chemistry, Christian Formation/Ministry, Communications, Computer Science, Education, English, Environmental Science, French, Geology, German, History, International Relations, Literature, Mathematics, Music, Music Composition, Music Education, Music Histoy/Literature, Music Performance, Philosophy, Physical Science, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Social Science and Sociology, Spanish and World Religions) as well as pre-law, pre-med and pre-engineering programs.

3. How personalized is the educational program at Wheaton?
Answer: One advantage of a smaller school like Wheaton (2,435 undergrads) is that a strong sense of family is developed between the faculty and student body. Additionally, a faculty to student ratio of 1:12 coupled with the spiritual emphasis of the institution enhances this sense of family to produce a very personal educational experience. Professors take time for their students, not only during class or office time, but with extracurricular activites as well. You are a person, not a number at Wheaton.

4. How much will it cost me to attend Wheaton College?
