Wheaton College Athletics

Academic All-Americans

The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America program annually honors student-athletes who have succeeded at the highest level in athletics and in the classroom. Through the years the program has also been known as the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Team, CoSIDA Academic All-America Team, GTE Academic All-America Team, and Verizon Academic All-America Team.

Since the program’s inception in 1952, CSC has bestowed Academic All-America honors on more than 15,000 student-athletes in Division I, II, III, NAIA and junior college programs covering all NCAA championship sports. Through the years, Wheaton has had a total of 120 Academic All-America selections to the prestigious program, including 94 honorees since 2000.

Individuals are selected through voting by College Sports Communicators, a 2,000-plus member organization consisting of sports public relations professionals for colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.
