WHEATON COLLEGE ATHLETICS PARTNERS WITH NIL LEADER INFLCR
In March of 2024, Wheaton Athletics announced a partnership with
INFLCR. INFLCR is the leading athlete brand-building and NIL business management app for over 270 elite collegiate and professional sports organizations. The INFLCR athlete app educates student-athletes, coaches, and staff for the NIL era in a safe and compliant environment, all powered by best-in-class content delivery for student-athletes to access and share content to their social media channels. The INFLCR platform also includes the impactful INFLCR Exchange. Schools can direct businesses, collectives, and fans seeking to find, communicate with, pay, and report NIL transactions with student-athletes in this school-customized NIL exchange. The INFLCR Local Exchange maximizes the student-athlete wallet share while streamlining compliance and tax reporting responsibilities. Wheaton Athletics is excited to have the Thunder Exchange, in our partnership with INFLCR. The Thunder Exchange will be a platform for Thunder student-athletes, businesses, and interested individuals to connect for NIL opportunities. The Thunder Exchange is a free service for Wheaton’s varsity student-athletes and the commercial and nonprofit enterprises that use it. The Thunder Exchange will help Wheaton Athletics customize and manage NIL reporting while providing approved businesses and individuals with a customized portal for communicating directly with student-athletes and fulfilling NIL transactions.
Wheaton Athletics Director Mike Schauer has led the way in creating the partnership with INFLCR and Wheaton Athletics. Schauer said at the time of launching the Thunder Exchange, “Wheaton College Athletics is excited to announce our partnership with INFLCR. This partnership provides a platform for our student-athletes who desire to participate in the NIL landscape to connect with the alumni and businesses that support them. INFLCR will also provide resources to assist in education and compliance for both the student-athlete and the institution. NIL is here to stay, and Wheaton College is now better equipped to support our student-athletes while maintaining oversight and compliance as NIL policies continue to evolve."
“We're proud to partner with Wheaton to launch the Thunder Exchange,” said INFLCR General Manager Sean Kelly when it debuted in March of 2024. “The exchange allows Wheaton student-athletes to connect with businesses and fans, unlocking new NIL opportunities."
