Hall of Honor
In her four seasons with the Wheaton women’s basketball program, Karla Groen Freitag scored 1,104 career points, the fourth-highest total in school history at the time of her graduation. Her 542 career rebounds was the fourth-highest in school history at the time of her graduation and her 140 career blocked shots was second in the school record books at the time. She was an All-CCIW selection at center in both the 1988 and 1989 seasons.
Karla notes, “I have always said that many of life’s lessons can be learned while participating in sports. I would not be who I am today were it not for the coaches and teammates who have helped to shape my life.”
