Karen Bartlett Nelson was a truly versatile athlete in the 1960s as she participated in six sports: basketball, field hockey, volleyball, softball, tennis and gymnastics. Following graduation in 1965, Karen played USVBA volleyball for seven years, with her team competing in the USVBA national tournament three of those years.
