Hall of Honor
Jon Tuin, class of 1983, played four seasons of football and was a four-year member of the track and field squad. He also wrestled as a freshman, but curtailed that sport after breaking his collar bone during a match. On the gridiron Jon was All-CCIW Honorable Mention as a sophomore, First Team All-CCIW on special teams as a junior, and as a senior was team captain and First-Team All-CCIW at defensive back.
As a decathlete for the Wheaton track and field team, Jon made three appearances at the NCAA Division III National Championship meet. In his sophomore year, he finished fifth at Nationals, and placed fourth in his junior year. At the Division III Championships in his senior year, he placed seventh. In both his junior and senior seasons, he was named “Most Valuable Athlete” at the CCIW Track and Field Championships.
