Rebecca Mouw is Wheaton's only women's soccer player to receive All-American recognition in all four seasons of her playing career. A four-time All-CCIW selection she was named the CCIW's Most Outstanding Player in 2000 and 2001. As a sophomore in 2000, she set Wheaton's single-season records with 25 goals and 59 total points (marks that are currently third in the program's record books). In 2001, she helped lead the Wheaton women's soccer program to its first NCAA Division III Final Four appearance, as Wheaton defeated St. Thomas (Minn.), UW-Stevens Point and Scranton in the first three rounds, before bowing out to Amherst in the National Semifinal.

Rebecca's 82 career goals ranked first in program history at the time of her graduation and today is second. She also distributed 36 career assists and her 200 career points was first in school history when she graduated and is second today. She twice earned Academic All-America recognition.

"Reflecting on my time at Wheaton College as an athlete, I can remember some of the games and the big moments," recalls Rebecca. "However, when I think of Wheaton Women's Soccer all of my memories revolve around the people: my teammates, our coaches, support staff, families and fans. We spent countless hours perfecting our craft and developing relationships. Those were the people that invested in me and helped me grow in my faith. Learning to lean on a community of believers in the good times and the difficult times was a critical life lesson for me that I still utilize in my life today." She adds, "Advancing to the Final Four was definitely a memory I will always cherish. Earlier that season we had lost a conference game. It was the first time a Wheaton women's soccer team had ever lost a conference game. Not only were we humbled and a little devastated, we were fearful to not make the NCAA tournament. This was before postseason conference tournaments, so we thought our season was finished. To have a second chance and make a run to the Final Four in response to that defeat was really special. So many amazing Wheaton women's soccer players had paved the way for us to be successful and it felt like such a privilege to be a part of the team that got to be there. That postseason run is a memory that I will always treasure.
