Jill Trenz made an immediate impact on the Wheaton women's basketball program, earning Third Team All-America honors from D3hoops.com in 2005. She was a two-time All-Central Region honoree by D3hoops.com in her career as a center for Wheaton. Trenz was named the CCIW Women's Basketball "Player of the Year" at the conclusion of the 2004-05 season. The Thunder made NCAA Tournament appearances in 2006 and 2007, with the program's only Sectional appearance coming in 2006.

Trenz helped lead Wheaton to CCIW Championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007. She earned All-CCIW honors in each of those three seasons. She led the conference in rebounding in each of her three campaigns. Additionally, her eight blocked shots against Carthage in the 2007 CCIW Women's Basketball Tournament is still a tournament record.
Trenz scored 1,109 career points, a mark that is 14th in program history and was ninth at the time of her departure. Her 8.7 rebounds per game average stills stands third all-time in program history and her 297 blocked shots is the second-highest total in the Wheaton record books.
Trenz grabbed a school-record 264 rebounds in 2005-06, a mark that still stands as Wheaton's single-season record. Her 56.5% (156-276) field goal percentage in 2004-05 was a school record at the time and is second today. The 367 points she scored in 2004-05 is the fourth-highest single-season total in program history by a freshman.
Jill reflects, "At Wheaton I learned the importance of leadership by example. I had incredible leaders, captains and coaches during my time at Wheaton, each with their own unique qualities and style, but each led by example in their unique ways on and off of the court."
