Kenosha, Wis. – The Thunder track and field teams competed at UW-Parkside's "Parkside Classic" on Saturday. The Thunder women's program placed fifth out of 10 teams.
UW-Milwaukee won the women's competition with 148 points, UW-Parkside scored 108 points in second place, Marquette finished third with 67 points, Trinity Christian scored 65 points in fourth place and the Wheaton women rounded out the top-five with 59 points. Cardinal Stritch scored 55 points in sixth place, MSOE took seventh place with 17 points, Harper finished eighth with nine points, Greater Milwaukee scored eight points in ninth place and Marian (Wis.) finished 10th with one point.
Jordan Tuin won the women's 3,000-meters with a time of 10:22.79; more than three-seconds ahead of the second-place time in the event.
Tana Schendel finished second in the women's high jump with an effort of 4' 11-3/4".
Jessica Hawthorne finished third in the one-mile run with a time of 5:21.50.
