Des Moines, Iowa - A select number of Wheaton student-athletes participated in the prestigious Drake Relays this weekend.

Grace Crowder highlighted the trip with a school record in the women's outdoor high jump on Saturday. Her mark of 1.71 meters (5' 7.25") bested the old school record of 1.68 meters (5' 6") set by Shannon McNeil in 2013. Crowder was the highest finishing Division III competitor today at Drake and finished fourth overall in the 23-woman field. Her effort today is tied for fifth in Division III this year.
The Wheaton women's 4X100-meter relay team of
Sadie Richert,
Heidi Krekelberg,
Hannah Harris, and
Rose Spagnolo finished 18th in the prelims with a time of 48.26-seconds. Wheaton competed in the women's 4X200-meter relay as the same foursome finished 25th in 1:46.64.
Sophomore Ty Bova competed in the men's high jump. He finished eighth in a 20-man field with a height of 2.03 meters (6' 7.75") Bova's effort was the second-best height by a Division III competitor.
Wheaton participated in the men's 4X200-meter relay with a time of 1:29.23 in 17th place. The quartet of David Harvin, Isaac Bledsoe, Joey Rosenthal, and Bradley Lauber represented Wheaton.
