Peter Johanik and safety
Colin Moore are Second Team selections and offensive tackle
Aidan Kingsbury picked up a Third Team award.
Johanik (LEFT), a Thunder defensive end, picks up his second Second Team All-America award of the 2025 season. Earlier this month, he was named a Second Team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). Additionally, he has received First Team All-Region 5 honors and First Team All-CCIW recognition this fall. Johanik leads the CCIW in tackles for loss with 23 (-110) and sacks with 14 (-89). The senior broke the Thunder all-time record for tackles for loss with 60, 10 tackles for loss higher than the next closest mark. He currently ranks in the top-five in Division III in both sack and tackles for loss. Johanik's selection marks the fourth time a Wheaton player has been named to the AP All-America defensive line as he joins: Chase Greenlee (2017) and Dallas McRae (2019 & 2021).

Moore (PICTURED RIGHT), a junior for the Thunder, earns his first career All-America Award, picking up Second Team honors for defensive backs. He has already received First Team All-Region 5 honors from D3football.com and First Team All-CCIW recognition this fall. Moore recorded a career-high eight interceptions this season which is tied for first in Division III and is tied for second in the NCAA (all divisions) as well. Moore is also credited with 15 total passes defended this season, the 12
th-highest mark in Division III. Moore's recognition is the second time a Wheaton defensive back has been named as an AP All-American joining Spencer Rowland (2019).

Kingsbury (PICTURED LEFT), a senior, is a Third Team honoree on the offensive line. He has already received First Team All-Region 5 honors from D3football.com and First Team All-CCIW recognition this fall. Kingsbury helped hold down an offensive line that was critical to the success of the Thunder offense this season. The Thunder are top-25 in Division III this season in scoring offense (8th), passing offense (16th) and total offense (24th). Kingsbury's selection marks the third time a Wheaton player has been named to the AP All-America offensive line, joining: Jake Hibben (2021) and
Trevor Gabriele (2023).
The 2025 season marks the eighth year that the Associated Press has named student athletes to a Division III All-America Team. From 2017-2024 the AP Division III All-America Football Team was made up of a First Team and a Second Team, this season a Third Team was added. Previously Division III football players were named to the Associated Press "Little All-America Team" that also consisted of NCAA Division II players and NAIA standouts.
Since the Associated Press Division III All-America Team began in 2017, Wheaton has produced 16 All-America selections. The Thunder football program has had at least one selection on every team since the AP started the Division III only team in 2017. Tight end Zach Lindquist and defensive end Chase Greenlee were named to the
inaugural Associated Press Division III All-America Team in 2017. In 2018, linebacker
Eric Stevenson picked up First Team recognition. Defensive end Dallas McRae and cornerback Spencer Rowland represented the Wheaton defense on the
2019 AP All-America Team. Four Wheaton players earned
selection to the 2021 AP All-America Team as McRae joined center Jake Hibben and tight end Spencer Peterson on the First Team, while linebacker Ryan Schwartz was a Second Team honoree. In 2022, offensive lineman
Trevor Gabriele and tight end
Ben Juska were Second Team honorees.
Giovanni Weeks was a
First Team AP All-American at running back at the conclusion of the 2023 season. Wheaton's honoree in 2024 was
wide receiver Ben Bonga.
