Women's tennis earns 8-1 victories against Kalamazoo College and Webster University

Wheaton, Ill. – The Thunder women's tennis team swept a pair of matches at home today to improve its record to 18-2. The Thunder defeated Kalamazoo College 8-1 to open the day and Wheaton closed the afternoon out with an 8-1 victory against Webster University.

Emily Jones won both of her matches today at No. 2 singles and Miranda Kay earned two wins at No. 3 singles. Kirstie White picked up a pair of victories at No. 4 singles and Sara Magnuson posted two wins at No. 5 singles. Emma Westwick earned the win at No. 6 singles against Kalamazoo College and senior Anna-Katherine Barrett was victorious at No. 6 singles in the match against Webster.

Jones and Katie Park earned wins in each match Saturday at No. 1 doubles and the No. 2 doubles team of Magnuson and Kay also recorded two victories. White and Claire Browning picked up the victory at No. 3 doubles against Kalamazoo and Browning teamed with Barrett for a win at No. 3 doubles against Webster.

Wheaton will host Lake Forest College April 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the final regular season match of the year.
