Women's tennis tops Illinois Wesleyan, 6-1 to remain undefeated

GAME STATS Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton women's tennis team remained undefeated on Friday afternoon as the Thunder defeated Illinois Wesleyan, 6-1. Wheaton is now 6-0 on the season, with a 5-0 record in CCIW play. The Titans fall to 3-4 overall with a 2-3 record in conference play.

Wheaton swept doubles play today. The Thunder No. 1 doubles team of Tatum Thurstone and Kim Karis defeated the Titans' Amber Ehrlich, 6-2. Ella Malone and Molly Ramsey picked up a 6-2 win against Adia Douglas and Elana Religioso at No. 2 doubles. The Wheaton tandem of Mia Luo and Carly O'Leary picked up a 6-0 win versus Lexi Burton and Alassea Michel at No.3 doubles.

Karis was a 6-2, 6-4 victor against Ehrlich at No. 1 singles. Ramsey defeated her Titan opponent, Religioso 6-0 6-0 at No. 3 singles, and Sophie Dew was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 4 singles against Bell. In the matchup at No. 5 singles, Malone defeated Douglas 6-1, 6-2 and Luo earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles against Burton.

Wheaton remains at home on Monday as the Thunder host Elmhurst at 5:00 p.m. Monday's match is a make-up of a previously scheduled match from last month.
