Winona, Minn. - The Wheaton women's tennis team earn an 8-1 victory against Luther College on Friday afternoon. Wheaton is now 13-4 on the year while Luther falls to 12-7 on the season. The Thunder will return to action on Saturday with a matchup in Minnesota against Carleton College.

Wheaton's Julie Buursma earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory at number-one singles and Katie Park was a 6-2, 6-1 victor at number-two singles. Lauren Schlabach picked up a 2-6, 6-3, 10-7 win at number-three singles and Emily Jones was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at number-four singles. Kirstie White won a 6-3, 6-0 decision at number-five singles and Miranda Kay picked up a 6-0, 6-0 victory at number-six singles.

Buursma and Park teamed up for an 8-6 victory at number-one doubles. Kay and Erika Nelson won an 8-2 decision at number-three doubles.
