Hanover Park, Ill. - The Wheaton women's tennis team shut out North Park University 9-0 on Saturday afternoon in a CCIW matchup. Today's contest originally scheduled to be played on the North Park campus, was moved indoors to the Centre Court Athletic Club in Hanover Park due to high winds in the Chicagoland area.

Julie Buursma earned a win at number-one singles for the Thunder and she paired with Katie Park for a win at number-one doubles. Park was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at number-two singles. Emily Jones picked up the win for the Thunder at number-three singles and she teamed with Anna-Katherin Barrett for an 8-1 win at number-two doubles.Kirstie White was a winner at number-four singles and Sarah Magnuson picked up a victory at number six singles. Wheaton's Miranda Kay earned a win at number-five singles and she partnered with Erika Nelson for a victory at number-three doubles.

Wheaton is now 7-1 overall and 6-1 in CCIW play. The Thunder will host Carthage College on October 10 at noon.
