Hanover Park, Ill. - The Thunder women's tennis team resumed its 2013-14 schedule on Friday with 9-0 victory against Calvin College (1-1) at Center Court Athletic Club. Wheaton will host Coe College on Saturday afternoon at the same site in a 5:30 PM match. Wheaton is now 8-2 on the year.

Wheaton won all six singles matches against Calvin on Friday. Sarah Ray was a 6-1, 6-3 winner at number-one singles and Julie Buursma was a 6-4, 6-2 victor at number-two singles. Lauren Schlabach was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at number-three singles and Emily Jones picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory at number-four singles. Erika Nelson picked up the 6-2, 6-0 win at number-five singles and Katherine Kaiser was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at number-six singles.

The team of Ray/Buursma earned an 8-3 win at number-one singles. The tandem of Nelson/Schlabach earned an 8-2 victory at number-two doubles and Jones teamed with Taylor Parrish for an 8-4 win at number-three doubles.
