Hanover Park, Ill. - The Wheaton women's tennis team earned its third consecutive 9-0 victory on Saturday as the Thunder bested Millikin in a conference match. Saturday's win was the sixth consecutive victory for a Wheaton program that is now 8-1 overall and 6-0 in CCIW play.

Julie Buursma earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at number-one singles and freshman Katie Park was a 7-5, 6-2 victor at number-two singles. Emily Jones won a 6-2, 6-2 decision at number-three singles and Kirstie White was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at number-four singles. Miranda Kay picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win at number-five singles and Erika Nelson was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at number-six singles.

Buursma and Park earned an 8-4 win at number-one singles. White paired with Nelson for an 8-1 victory at number-two singles. Taylor Parrish teamed with Kay for an 8-2 win at number-three singles.

Wheaton will close out its CCIW regular season schedule on October 11 at Carthage College. The defending CCIW Champion Thunder will compete at the 2014 CCIW Women's Tennis Championship in Bloomington, Illinois on October 16-18.
