Elmhurst, Ill. - The Wheaton women's tennis team picked up an 8-1 victory at Elmhurst College on Tuesday night in the first conference match of the 2013-14 season for the Thunder. Wheaton is now 3-1 on the year and 1-0 in CCIW play. Wheaton will remain in conference action for its next match when the Thunder hosts Augustana on Saturday afternoon at 3 PM.

Wheaton opened the match by winning all three doubles contests. The Thunder took five of the six singles matches as Sarah Ray (#1-singles), Julie Buursma (#2-singles), Emily Jones (#3-singles), Erika Nelson (#4-singles) and Katherine Kaiser (#5-singles) each picked up wins.
