Elmhurst, Ill. – Wheaton Thunder volleyball team had its season ended on Saturday afternoon in a 3-0 loss to Elmhurst College in the CCIW Volleyball Tournament Championship Match. Wheaton ends the year with a 13-23, making the CCIW Tournament Championship Match for the second time in three years.

Elmhurst defeated the Thunder 25-8 in the opening set. The Bluejays earned a 25-21 victory in the second set and closed out the tournament title with a 25-17 victory in the decisive third set.

Meghan Grant led the Thunder with eight kills and three total blocks. Emily Buyse recorded six kills. Andy DeMoss added five kills, with three total blocks. Freshman setter Lauren Wilhite distributed 21 assists and Kelli Manning added 11 digs.
