Bloomington, Ill. - The Wheaton College women's tennis team reached the final of the CCIW Automatic Qualifer Tournament with a 9-0 win over Illinois Wesleyan University on Friday. 

The No. 1-seed Thunder improved to 19-2 while the No. 4-seed Titans fell to 10-7. Wheaton will next face No. 2-seed Augustana College at 10:30 AM on Saturday, with the winner gaining the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

Wheaton won all its matches in straight sets, with singles victories from Elizabeth Worsowicz, Sara Federschmidt, Lindsey Hallett, Sarah Ray, Kirsten Boyer and Marissa Shults. The three doubles wins were claimed by the teams of Worsowicz/Federschmidt, Hallett/Shults and Ray/Boyer.

After Friday's sweep, the Thunder team is now 53-2 against CCIW opponents in singles competition this year, to go along with a 27-1 mark in doubles.
