Wheaton swimmers selected for NCAA Nationals

- A total of five Wheaton College swimmers have been selected to swim at the NCAA Division III Championships on March 23-26. Nationals will be hosted by the University of Tennessee.

The Thunder men automatically qualified in the 200-yard medley relay with a No. 12-seeded time of 1:32.50. The medley relay is made up of Wills Francis (backstroke), Preston Conger (breaststroke), Matthew Gallagher (butterfly) and Tim Walker (freestyle).

By virtue of their selection, the four-man relay team can also swim all the other relay events at Nationals. They will also be participating in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:24.09), the 400-yard medley relay (3:25.52), the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:06.61) and the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:02.46).

Conger will also be swimming two individual races - the 100-yard butterfly with a seed time of 50.55 and the 100-yard breaststroke with a seed time of 57.58. He will be joined by teammate Gallagher in the 100-yard butterfly, who has a seed time of 50.15.

Moire Yue
The Thunder women will be represented by Moire Yue, who automatically qualified for the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.69. She will also be swimming in the 100-yard backstroke (57.28) and the 100-yard freestyle (52.15).
