Derek Meadows and
Scott Gallagher finished first and second, respectively, in both the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions at the CCIW Championships on Saturday.
The diving events took place before the swimming portion of the CCIW Championships, which will occur Thursday-Saturday at Wheaton College. Prelims start at 10:30 AM daily, with finals at 6 PM daily.
Meadows, a junior, won the one-meter with 383.05 points and also the three-meter with 384.50 points. Gallagher, a freshman, finish runner-up in both events with 367.45 points and 342.35 points.
The 1-2 finishes by Meadows and Gallagher is the first time a Wheaton duo has accomplished that feat since 1977. Meadows' wins were also Wheaton's first since 1983.
