Madison, Wis. - The 21st-ranked Thunder women's tennis team closed out its regular season schedule on Saturday with a 9-0 victory at Edgewood College (12-12). Wheaton was originally scheduled to also face Concordia University-Wisconsin, however, that match was not able to be played due to rain.

Wheaton is now 15-4 on the year. The Thunder will return to action on May 7 and 8 at the CCIW Automatic Qualifier Tournament in Bloomington, Illinois. The winner of the CCIW Automatic Qualifier Tournament will earn the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship which begins on May 14. Wheaton has won the last two CCIW Automatic Qualifier Tournaments, earning NCAA postseason bids in 2008 and 2009.
