Women's tennis shuts out conference foes Augustana and North Central 9-0

Kaylie Edwards won all of her singles and doubles matches on Saturday

Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton College women's tennis team kept its perfect conference record intact with 9-0 victories over Augustana College and North Central College on Saturday.

The Thunder improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the CCIW. Wheaton has lost only one individual match against its last five opponents, which totals to a 44-1 advantage in individual matches in that time.

Wheaton played Augustana first in the morning and didn't allow more than four points in any set as all nine matches went to the Thunder.

The second match against North Central finished in similar fashion, with the exception at No. 5 singles where Sara Federschmidt held off Abigail Conover 7-5, 7-6 (7-5).

The Thunder will continue its fall schedule next Saturday with a 10 AM match against Luther College.
