Glen Ellyn, Ill. - The Wheaton College women's tennis team defeated North Central College 8-1 in the semifinals of the CCIW automatic qualifier at College of DuPage on Wednesday.
Despite multiple injuries and sickness that depleted the lineup, the Thunder held strong and only dropped one singles match on the day. Wheaton improved to 15-4 on the season and advance to face the winner of Carthage vs. Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday in Kenosha, Wis. The winning team gets the automatic conference berth into the NCAA Division III nationals.
