Waukesha, Wis. - The Wheaton Thunder women's tennis team improved to 4-0 on the season, and 2-0 in CCIW play with an 8-1 victory at Carroll University on Saturday.

Sara Magnuson was a 6-0, 6-3 victor at No. 2 singles against Shanna Mogden. Claire Browning won a 6-0, 6-2 decision against Lora Leach at No. 3 singles and Claire Dibble gained a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Allison Kruse at No. 4 singles. Nicole Freeman bested Vanessa Ignatew 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and Bethany Hoogerheide picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles against Shana Klenk for the Thunder.

Wheaton won all three doubles matchups on Saturday. The tandem of Browning and Dibble earned an 8-6 victory at No. 1 doubles against the Carroll team of Krueger and Mogden. The Thunder No. 2 doubles team of Sara Magnuson and Nicole Freeman won an 8-1 matchup against Carroll's Leach and Kruse. Westwick and Hoogerheide paired for an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles against Ignatew and Klenk.

Wheaton remains in conference action next Friday at 5:30 when the Thunder hosts Elmhurst College at the Wheaton Tennis Courts.
