Wheaton, Ill. - The Thunder women's tennis remained undefeated on Saturday with a clean 9-0 sweep of North Park University (2-5, 0-2 CCIW). Wheaton is now 8-0 overall and 6-0 in CCIW play following another weekend sweep.
Emma Westwick picked up a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Linn Viuhkonen at No. 1 singles.
Sara Magnuson earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Linnea Love at No. 2 singles.
Claire Browning,
Claire Dibble and
Nicole Freeman each earned 6-0, 6-0 victories and
Bethany Hoogerheide was victorious at No. 6 singles 6-2, 6-0.
Browning and Dibble swept No. 1 doubles 8-0 and Magnuson and Freeman won an 8-2 contest at No. 2 doubles. Westwick and Hoogerheide won the No. 3 doubles 8-1.
Wheaton will next be in action on Friday, October 5, when the Thunder play host to Millikin at 6:30 pm as part of Homecoming weekend.
