The Wheaton women's track and field teams sent team members to three events this weekend. Wheaton was represented at Hillsdale College's GINA Relays on Friday, the Drake Relays on Friday and Saturday and the Beloit College Relays on Saturday.
Hillsdale College's GINA Relays
Aryn Embretson (PICTURED ABOVE) won the 10,000-meters on Friday night at Hillsdale with a school-record time of 35:59.38 that ranks 13th in Division III this year. Freshman
Hannah Roeske placed seventh in a highly competitive 24-woman field in the 5,000-meter run. Her school-record time of 16:47.95 ranks seventh in Division III in the event this year.
Ellie Hawthorne posted the top performance by a Division III competitor in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase. Her time, a personal best of 11:01.50, is 17
th in Division III this year.
Drake Relays
On Friday in the prelims of the 4X400-meter relay the foursome of
Marissa Heath,
Natasha Brown,
Favor Ezewuzie and
Maggie Dansdill qualified for Saturday's finals with a time of 3:51.92 that ranks seventh in all of Division III this season. Saturday the quartet was eighth in the finals with a time of 3:52.71.
The 4X100-meter relay team of
Abby Grace McGee,
Favor Ezewuzie,
Nicole Kitchen and Tess Sutton finished 14
th in a nationally competitive field of 28 teams with a time of 48.49-seconds. The 1600-meter sprint medley relay team of
Nicole Kitchen,
Erika Johnson, McGee and Heath recorded a time of 4:12.29. Wheaton tallied a time of 64.05-seconds in the 4X100-meter shuttle hurdle event behind the effort of McGee, Ezewuzie, Kitchen and Sutton.
Beloit Relays
A limited number of athletes represented Wheaton at the Beloit Relays.
Makenna Sanders posted the top performance for Wheaton at Beloit as she ran the 100-meter hurdles in 16.48-seconds to place fourth.
