Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton track and field teams hosted the Wheaton Invitational track meet on Tuesday. The meet was originally scheduled for Thursday afternoon, however, it was moved up two days due to the forecast for April 2. The start of today's meet was delayed 90 minutes due to severe thunderstorms in the area on Tuesday morning.
Wheaton took the top four spots in the women's 800-meter run.
Clodagh O'Bryant finished first in 2:22.81 and Allie Woolever was second in 2:26.65.
Laura Prothero ran the 800 in 2:28.60 in fourth place and
Tavinya Taylor was fifth in 2:22.90. O'Bryant also won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:51.43 and
Ally Crumley placed fourth in 5:12.05.
Elizabeth LaBrin finished first in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:57.37, while
Lily Lebo was fifth in 11:07.65.
Heidi Krekelberg finished first among 25 women in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 12.12-seconds.
Rose Spagnolo placed fifth in 12.52-seconds. Krekelberg finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.25-seconds.
Sally Elsen recorded a first-place time of 14.88-seconds to convincingly win the 100-meter hurdles.
Chloe Dew finished third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:10.17, followed by teammate
Ciarra Rockness 1:10.81.
Allison Roozeboom won the women's discus throw with a toss of 35.76-meters (117' 04").
Hannah Tompkins had the top effort in the women's high jump with an effort of 1.32-meters (4' 4").
The women's 4X400-meter relay team of
Hannah Harris, Mika Forsyth,
Sadie Richert, and Elsen was first among three Wheaton teams with an effort of 4:08.72
