Grinnell, Iowa – Wheaton senior Jaime Orewiler and junior Luke Vance are representing the Thunder track and field programs at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend on the campus of Grinnell College. Both student-athletes have qualified for the finals of their respective events on Saturday.

On Friday afternoon, Orewiler competed in the prelims of the women's one-mile run. Orewiler posted the 10th fastest time out of 15 women in the prelims with an effort of 4:58.81. Her effort qualified her for the 10-woman finals of the one-mile run on Saturday afternoon at 3:40 PM. FULL EVENT RESULTS

Later on Friday, Vance posted a time of 1:53.35 in the 13-man field of the men's 800-meter run. He posted the sixth-fastest time in the prelims to qualify for the eight-man finals of the event tomorrow afternoon. The finals of the 800-meter run will be contested Saturday at 4:55 PM.  Vance earned outdoor All-American honors in the 800-meter run last spring at the 2011 Division III Outdoor Track Championships.
