Wheaton, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin announced the 2025 All-CCIW Men's Tennis Teams this afternoon, and Wheaton's
Tim Steiner was named to the Second Team for his play this spring. Steiner earns his first career All-Conference nod this year, and he joins fellow senior and doubles partner
Jacob Williams as a Second Team honoree from the Thunder program following Williams' recognition in 2022.
Steiner, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has played at the top of Wheaton's lineup throughout the regular season in 2025 and currently owns a match record of 8-10 at #1 singles and 11-5 at #1 doubles, helping lead the Thunder to a 4-3 team mark in conference play and the #4 seed in the upcoming CCIW Tournament. Steiner and Williams owned a ten-match win streak between March 11th and April 22nd of this year playing together at the first doubles position until their loss to North Central's top pair last Saturday. The senior also competed at the ITA Division III Central Regional Championships in St. Louis in September and won three total matches to reach the Round of 32 in the singles bracket and the Round of 16 in the doubles field.
Along with the release of every sport's All-Conference teams, the CCIW names one student-athlete from each member program as a RESPECT Award winner. This honor is given to student-athletes that have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The Thunder face fifth-seeded Carroll University in a quarterfinal contest in Sterling on Thursday morning, while Friday's semifinal round and Saturday's championship match are scheduled to be held in Rock Island.
