West Chicago, Ill. -- Facing off in a dual meet against Benedictine on Thursday afternoon, the Wheaton women's golf team defeated their hosts by a comprehensive tally of 367-430.
Lizzy Stone posted the best score for Wheaton for the second event running, as the sophomore carded an 83 to lead all players.
Sasha Danielson placed second overall with a final mark of 86.
Sohee Kang rounded out the top three on the leaderboard with a score of 90 to her name.
Mary Beth Claire Rogero entered the clubhouse ahead of three Eagles golfers, registering a tally of 108.
After earning their first dual meet victory since April 2019, the Thunder women's team can enjoy the weekend off before traveling to Pewaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday. Wheaton will then compete in this year's CCIW Preview event hosted by Carroll University, with tee times set to begin at 1:00 PM.Â
