Wheaton opens the 2018 season on August 31 against University of St. Thomas (Minn.) at the Salisbury University Classic in Salisbury, Maryland. The home opener for the Thunder is against Thomas More on September 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the opening night of the Bob Baptista Invitational.
Four of Wheaton's opponents on the 2018 schedule are ranked in the preseason poll. Wheaton travels to ninth-ranked UW-La Crosse on September 19 and the Thunder host second-ranked University of Chicago on September 25. Wheaton's third ranked opponent in September is a conference matchup at No. 23 Illinois Wesleyan on September 29. Washington University-St.Louis, ranked 10th in the preseason poll, will visit the Thunder on October 20.
