Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted their first home meet of the season on Saturday afternoon at Chrouser Natatorium. The Thunder men's team defeated Calvin College by a score of 169-129 and the Thunder women's team were victorious 161-137 over the Knights.
Both Thunder teams swept the relays with the Wheaton men's relay team of

Jack O'Connor won the 200-yard medley relay with a one second victory over Calvin in a time of 1:34.46. Deysher,
Will McCauley,
Daniel Songer and
Jacob Clement teamed up for a victory of .88 seconds in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:12.27.
Wheaton's women's quartet of Erin Bagley, Kayla Roberson, Sarah Oldach and Maggie Franke won the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:49.35 to edge Calvin by .87 seconds. Franke, Roberson, Brooke Barnes and Bagley won the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:35.40 to edge Calvin by .66 seconds.
Will McCauley earned an impressive victory in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:59.20 to earn a victory over 25 seconds ahead of teammate
Logan McDaniel.
Jack O'Connor swept the freestyle events including a time of 47.54 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle that edged Calvin's Ben Holstege by just .01 seconds. In the 200-yard freestyle, O'Connor's time of 1:47.52 was a half-second ahead of Tim Randall of Calvin.
Jacob Clement also earned two event wins with a first place finish in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 21.38 seconds. Clement beat teammate
Chris Dingfield to the wall in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 51.57 seconds, earning a victory of .36 seconds. Dingfield would win the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:56.59.
Daniel Deysher won the 200-yard breaststroke with a blistering season-best time of 2:14.19 to earn a victory margin of over five seconds.
Chris Szymczak won the 200-yard backstroke in 1:59.86.

Meredith Clarkson (PICTURED RIGHT) earned a sweep of the 100 (1:01.38) and 200 (2:12.71) yard backstrokes, earning career-best untapered times in both events. Kayla Roberson won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:06.82 to top teammate Alice Zhang by over three seconds. Roberson also won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:19.90. Erin Bagley earned a thrilling .01 second victory in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 24.23 seconds. Bagley also won the 100-yard butterfly in 58.67 seconds.
Liz George dropped four seconds off her career-best time in the 200-yard butterfly to win the event with a time of 2:16.55. Ashley Bowen set season best times with victories in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:32.83) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:16.37).
