Sarah Frey broke a 0-0 tie in the 38
th minute when she scored a goal when an
Anna Saunders corner kick went in front of NPU goalkeeper Sydney Martinez and Frey put the ball into the net for a 1-0 Thunder lead. The Thunder led the Vikings 1-0 at the halftime intermission.

Wheaton extended its lead to 2-0 in the 69
th minute thanks to another goal off of a corner kick by Saunders. The Saunders corner kick managed to find
Suzanne Kimble who registered Wheaton's second goal for a 2-0 lead. Wheaton increased its lead to 3-0 less than five minutes later when
Mary Pettit scored a goal in the 75
t minute, thanks to a
Hannah Cockrum assist. Cockrum (PICTURED LEFT) collected a rebound in the 81
st minute to register Wheaton's fourth goal of the night and account for the 4-0 final score.
The Thunder out-shot the Vikings, 32-4 in the match, including a 10-0 edge in shots on goal. Wheaton was awarded 10 corner kicks in the match and NPU was given one.
Thunder goalkeeper
Kathryn McGregor played all 90 minutes in the net as she faced four shots, with zero saves. Martinez played all 90 minutes in the Vikings' net, making six saves with four goals allowed.
The Thunder will remain in conference play on Wednesday in a 5:00 p.m. match at Carthage College.
