Wheaton, Ill. - The Thunder women's tennis team hosted Elmhurst College on Thursday night in a CCIW matchup as the Thunder bested the Bluejays 9-0. Wheaton is now 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in CCIW play. Wheaton will travel to Augustana College on Saturday for a key CCIW matchup in Rock Island.

Wheaton made quick work of Elmhurst tonight as junior Julie Buursma was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at number-one singles and freshman Katie Park was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at number-two singles. Lauren Schlabach picked up a 6-1, 6-0 victory at number-three singles and Kirstie White was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at number-four singles. Miranda Kay picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at number-five singles and Sophomore Erika Nelson earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at number-six singles.

Park and Buursma earned an 8-2 win at number-one doubles. Schlabach and White picked up an 8-0 win at number-two doubles and Kay teamed with Taylor Parrish for an 8-0 win at number-three doubles.
