Spokane, Wash. – The Wheaton women's soccer team remained undefeated on the 2012 season, with a 4-0 victory at Whitworth University (0-3-0) on Friday afternoon at the
Whitworth Soccer Classic. Wheaton scored all four of its goals in a span of approximately 16 minutes during the first half, including three goals in span of 5:05.

Leah DeMoss started Wheaton's first-half scoring blitz with a goal on an
Anna Seabolt assist at the 26:02 mark of the match. DeMoss increased Wheaton's lead to 2-0 when she blasted a shot from about 15 yards out into the net, off of an
Annie Wooldridge assist at the 36:51 mark. About two-and-a-half minutes later it was freshman
Ally Witt (PICTURED LEFT) scoring on a rebounded shot attempt at the 39:10 mark, off of a double-assist from DeMoss and
Sydney Sharkey to extend the guests' lead to 3-0. Wheaton's scoring barrage concluded at the 41:56 mark when Witt took an
Annie Hamilton assist and blasted it in from in front of the net to account the 4-0 victory.
Wheaton out-shot the Pirates 28-8, including a 19-4 edge in the decisive first half. Each team took five corner kicks in the match. Wheaton registered its first shutout of the season, as sophomore goalkeeper
Kelsey Graham made three saves. Whitworth netminder Andrea Stump made 10 saves, with four goals allowed.
Wheaton (4-0-0), ranked fourth in
this week's NSCAA Division III Coaches Poll, will conclude its participation in the tournament on Saturday with a match against Puget Sound at 12 PM (PDT).
