Wheaton, Ill. – The fourth-ranked Wheaton women's soccer team remained unbeaten on the season with a 3-0 conference victory against Carthage College (5-7-1/1-2) on Wednesday night at Joe Bean Stadium. Wheaton is now 13-0-1 on the year and 2-0 in CCIW play. The Thunder will host North Central at 4:30 PM on Saturday at Joe Bean Stadium.

Keri Shannon headed the ball into the back of the net at the 5:41 mark of the match to give the Thunder a 1-0 lead. Shannon's header was setup on a double-touch corner kick from
Jaime Orewiler and
Katelyn Kishkunas. Wheaton held onto its 1-0 lead for the remainder of the first half.

Val Lelle headed the ball into the net to give Wheaton a 2-0 lead at the 63:54 mark of the match, off the corner kick. Senior Kaitlyn LeBaudour scored her third goal of the season at the 84:31 mark of the match to give Wheaton a 3-0 lead that would be the final score.
Wheaton out-shot the Lady Reds 36-3 in the match, including a 24-2 advantage in the second half. Wheaton had 13 corner kicks in the match and Carthage had none. Thunder freshman goalkeeper
Kelsey Graham started the match in net for the hosts, making one save in 45 minutes of work.
Hilary Barreto played in net for the Thunder in the second half, making two saves. Carthage netminder Angela Spinelli made nine saves and allowed three goals.
Tonight's win was the 10th shutout of the year for the Thunder defense. Wheaton has shut out it last four opponents and has not allowed a goal over its last 456 minutes of action and allowed only four goals this season.
