Dubuque, Iowa - The Wheaton College women's soccer team lost to Loras College 3-1 on Tuesday.
The Thunder fall to 4-2 while the Duhawks are now 6-0.
Despite having a 7-1 shot advantage in the first half, Wheaton found itself down 1-0 due to an own goal in the 32nd minute. Shortly after halftime, Loras extended the lead to 2-0 with another goal at 53:00.
The Thunder got on the board to make it 2-1 on an unassisted rebound goal by
Kaitlyn Le Baudour at 72:02. But the hosts put the game away in the final minute with another strike from 20 yards out at 89:19.
Wheaton outshot Loras 13-11 and had a 9-1 corner kick advantage. Goalkeeper
Maddie Allen took the loss in net with three saves and two goals allowed. Katie Chambers got the win with six saves and one goal allowed.
The Thunder continues its road trip on Friday with a 4:30 PM (ET) game at William Smith College.
