Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton women's soccer team extended its win streak to 14 matches with a 3-0 victory against Millikin (12-5-1) on Tuesday night in a Semifinal Match of the 2010 CCIW Women's Soccer Tournament at Joe Bean Stadium. Wheaton, the tournament's top seed, will host Saturday's CCIW Tournament Championship at either 5 or 7 PM (depending on if Wheaton also hosts the CCIW Men's Soccer Tournament Final). The Thunder will face the winner of the tournament's other semifinal, which will pit Augustana against Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday evening.
Wheaton took an early lead tonight, just 5:30 into the match, when junior
Katelyn Kishkunas put the ball into the back of the net off of a free kick. A little more than six minutes later, junior
Jaime Orewiler shot towards the opposite side of the net to tally her team-best 14th goal of the year for a 2-0 Wheaton lead. Wheaton held its two-goal advantage for the remainder of the first half. In the 75th minute, Orewiler passed the ball from the edge of the penalty box to senior
Brittany Bergh who was five yards in front of the net and blasted the ball in to increase the hosts' lead to 3-0.
Wheaton out-shot Millikin 18-11, with a 7-3 edge in shots on goal. Wheaton was awarded 10 corner kicks in the match, while Millikin had five. Wheaton goalkeeper

Maddie Allen played 22 minutes of the bench, with two saves. Millikin goalkeeper Natalie Robertaccio made four saves and allowed three Thunder goals.
