Lee left tonight's game with a new program record 85 career goals, besting Wheaton's previous career goals record of 82, that had been held by Rebecca Mouw (1999-2002). Following tonight's match Lee said of the record, “It is something that I am really thankful for. I have had a chance to play with some wonderful and amazing players during the last four years.” She added, “It is amazing how fast four years goes. I am not somebody who keeps track of numbers. I just want our team go out and play to the best of our abilities.” The two-time All-American noted, “I am thankful that the Lord brought me here. My experience at Wheaton has been a real blessing.”

Lee gave the Thunder a 1-0 lead when she scored from the top right portion of the box off an assist from freshman Amy Thomas. A little more than two minutes later, Lee scored by tapping the ball past Loras goalkeeper Katie Chambers at the 34:15 mark of the match to extend Wheaton's lead to 2-0. Keri Shannon and Jaime Orewiler assisted on the goal. Loras cut the Thunder lead to 2-1 on a goal by Holly Wilson at 41:42 that was assisted by Jessica Kern.

Wheaton held a 2-1 lead at halftime of the match. Lee's eighth goal of the year gave the Thunder a 3-1 lead at the 48:40 mark of the match. Lee headed the ball into the net off of a Brittany Bergh assist.
Wheaton out-shot Loras 27-10 in the match, including a decisive 16-2 advantage in the first half. Wheaton attempted eight corner kicks and Loras had two. Wheaton goalkeeper Hillary Barretto made four saves in 90 minutes of work in the Thunder net. Chambers made 10 saves and allowed three goals in the Loras net.

Wheaton, ranked fourth in this week's NSCAA Division III coaches poll, improved to 6-1-0 on the year. Loras is now 3-3-1 on the season. The Thunder will open conference play at Elmhurst College on Wednesday at 4 PM.
