Wheaton College Athletics

Ali Offerdahl is a senior on the Wheaton women's swim team. Ali is a two-time All-Conference honoree and last year qualified to swim at the NCAA-III National Championships. Below is a brief interview with Ali.

Q: What is your major?
 
A: Applied Health Science
 
Q: What (if any) plans do you have after graduation?
 
A:  I hope to pursue a master’s degree in nursing. I’m in the process of filling out applications now. 
 
Q: Why did you choose to swim at Wheaton?
 
A: I have been swimming competitively since middle school and I wanted to stay active in college.  Wheaton swimming provided a fun atmosphere for me to continue pursing my athletic goals.  It also has given me an incredible community of crazy-fun teammates that are encouraging both in and out of the pool. 
 
Q: What do you enjoy most about Wheaton?
 
A:  I absolutely adore the people at Wheaton.  Here I have been surrounded by a student body and faculty that love the Lord.  God has blessed me with friendships that I know will last a lifetime. 
 
Q: What is your favorite swimming memory so far in your time at Wheaton?
 
A: This is such a hard question to answer because Wheaton swimming has provided me with an abundance of memories.  It’s been an athletic goal of mine to swim at a Nationals meet and last year I had the opportunity to participate at DIII Nationals in Texas.  Me and the other Wheaton girls that qualified got so close while training for and traveling to the meet.  It was an incredible experience to compete at that level with my teammates.
