Wheaton, Ill. -- The conference office announced its Golf Student-Athlete of the Week recognitions on Thursday, and Wheaton's Wyatt Brown was named the Co- Men's Golfer of the Week following his impressive performance at the Firebird Fall Classic. This marks the second-consecutive weekly honor for Brown, as he becomes the first golfer to earn the award twice in 2026-27 and the first Thunder men's golfer to be named Student-Athlete of the Week on back-to-back occasions since former teammate Jonah Swartz in April of 2025.

Wheaton finished seventh at last Monday and Tuesday's tournament in Wisconsin thanks in large part to Brown's outstanding play across the two days of competition. Fresh off of a 67 (-4) and first-place showing at the Judson Invitational the previous Friday, Brown continued his red-hot form by logging a 72 (even-par) through the first 18 and a 67 (-5) in Tuesday's second round to earn a two-round score of 139 (-5). The senior birdied four of his last five holes to catch the Carthage competitor in first place with whom he shares this week's award to finish tied for first on the tournament's 90-player leaderboard.

Brown and his teammates will return to competition in the Badger State tomorrow and Saturday by taking part in the two-round Midwest Region Classic hosted by Benedictine University.
