Wauwatosa, Wis. - The Wheaton women's golf team compete at the MSOE Invite on Saturday at Currie Park Golf Club in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The Thunder placed fourth in the five-team field.
Thunder sophomore
Emma Lee shot a 79 to tie MSOE's Maggie Urich for first place in the 29-woman field. Lee shot a 43 in her first nine holes and shot a one-over par 36 on the back nine. Her top performance was at the 12th hole as she carded a birdie on the hole. The birdie on 12 paired with seven pars on the back-nine for the very steady 36 in her final nine holes.
Fellow sophomore
Ava Hartnett tied for 13th with an 88.
Abby Crutchley carded an 89 in a tie for 15th place.
Abi Edwards shot a 98 in 22nd place and
Molly Holbert carded a 103 in 23rd place.
Wheaton returns to action next Wednesday at the Benedictine Fall Invite. The tournament tees off at 9:00 a.m. at St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago.
