Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton men's tennis team hosted Augustana on Saturday afternoon in a CCIW match. The Vikings defeated the Thunder 5-2 to hand Wheaton its first conference loss of the season.

Andrew Jang earned a Wheaton win at No. 2 singles. He defeated Saman Rezaeyan 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-5).

Wheaton's second victory in singles action came from Ryder Ward. Ward was a 6-4, 6-3 winner at No. 5 singles against Grant Meyers.

The Thunder remain in conference play next week with a pair of trips to Wisconsin. Wheaton plays at Carroll next Tuesday in a 4:00 p.m. start in Waukesha. Wheaton travels to Kenosha on Saturday for a contest at Carthage.
