Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton's Soren Richardson has been named a Second Team All-District 8 selection in men's basketball today by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). This is the first NABC All-District selection for Richardson who earned his second-consecutive All-Region award from D3hoops.com yesterday. Additionally, Richardson was named a 2026 Jostens Trophy finalist last week.

Richardson averaged a CCIW-leading 22.4 points per game on an efficient 48.4% shooting (208-430). His 22.4 mark ranks 24th amongst all Division III men's basketball players. He also shot 84.2% (112-133) from the free throw line, a mark that ranked third in the CCIW but was tied for first with the most conversions in the conference. Richardson averaged 4.2 rebounds per game, 2.8 assists per game, and 1.5 steals per game.

In Wheaton's 16 CCIW games this season, Richardson led the conference in scoring for the second consecutive season with 23.0 per points per game. He was a workhorse for the Thunder, leading the team in minutes per game posting 35:07, a mark also good for second highest in the CCIW. Richardson's effort against Elmhurst, dropping 36 points, was the highest single-game point total in the CCIW this season.
