Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton's Soren Richardson has been named a Second Team All-Region 8 selection in men's basketball today by D3hoops.com. This is the second career All-Region award for the junior who was a Second Team All-Region honoree from the website in 2024-25.

Richardson averaged a CCIW-leading 22.4 points per game on an efficient 48.4% shooting (208-430) this season. His 22.4 mark ranks 24^th amongst all Division III men's basketball players. As a three-time CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week, Richardson set career-highs in FG%, 3FG% (36.4%, 55-151), steals (40), and total points (583) this seasin. His 583 total points ranks 25^th in Division III. He also shot 84.2% (112-133) from the free throw line, a mark that ranked third in the CCIW but was tied for first with the most conversions in the conference. Richardson averaged 4.2 rebounds per game, 2.8 assists per game, and 1.5 steals per game.

In Wheaton's 16 CCIW games this season, Richardson led the conference in scoring for the second consecutive season with 23.0 per points per game. His 130 makes from the field and 74 conversions from the stripe both led the CCIW. He shot 47.1% from the field (130-276), along with a 33.7% rate from beyond the arc (34-101). Richardson's effort against Elmhurst, dropping 36 points, was the highest single-game point total in the CCIW this season. Along with the highest single-game point total, Richardson accounted for three other 30-plus point performances against Millikin, Carthage, and the quarterfinal against North Park. His four 30-plus point performances were the most in the conference. Richardson stepped up when the Thunder needed it most, scoring 20-plus points in six of Wheaton's final seven contests, four of which he scored at least 29 points.
